Dr. McNicholl is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist with the Department of Medicine/UCSF Positive Health Practice and an Assistant Clinical Professor with the UCSF School of Pharmacy. Board certified in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) with Added Qualifications in Infectious Diseases, he is one of 40 with this certification. Dr. McNicholl has over 10 years of experience in ID/HIV clinical practice, research, teaching and administration. Dr. McNicholl’s primary focus is maintaining a clinical practice at San Francisco General Hospital. He also serves on the Editorial Board for the UCSF Center for HIV Information and is the Editor of the UCSF HIV InSite Drug Interaction Database. Research interests include Phase I-III investigational drug studies and drug interaction studies.
