
Meg D. Newman, MD, is attending physician and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Positive Health Program at San Francisco General Hospital. She is also Director of the UCSF AIDS Education Unit. Her domains of interest include women and AIDS, general and HIV dermatology, general HIV medicine, and HIV/hepatitis C virus coinfection. Dr Newman has received numerous teaching honors, including a 2002 UCSF Medical Residents, Women In Medicine Role Model Award, Clinical Teaching Award from the UCSF School of Medicine Class of 2001, 1998, and the Kaiser Teaching Award for Full Time Clinical Faculty in 1997. Dr Newman is a member of the Core Faculty of the International AIDS Society–USA advanced CME courses.
